Severe foaming in metalworking fluids can lead to production problems, waste coolant and safety problems in the form of wet floors. Metalworking fluids are developed with many criteria in mind, one of which is foam break. Some products will resist foaming better than other and that is down to the particular chemistry (formulation) of that product. Correct product selection is, therefore, very importance.
